San Pedro Golf Course

San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area
The Riparian extends from St. David, Arizona to Naco, Mexico. One of the landmarks is the San Pedro House located along Highway 90 between Bisbee and Sierra Vista. Along 40 miles of the upper San Pedro River, the NCA contains over 50,000 acres with an abundance of wildlife and vegetation, including over 350 species of birds. With over 250 recorded prehistoric and historic sites, the NCA offers a wide variety of high quality recreation opportunities including bird watching, wildlife viewing, photography, hiking, camping, seasonal hunting, horseback riding, nature study and environmental education. East side: picnic area, five mile trail through the Dragoon Mountains. West Side: Cave made of large rocks, metates, grinding bowls and petroglyphs.

San Pedro Valley Arts & Historical Society
Located in Benson on the corner of 5th and San Pedro Streets. The Art Gallery and Historical Museum with changing displays and exhibits, is one of the area's cultural centers. Once a grocery store, the building is on the National register for historical buildings. Open 10 AM to 2 PM ; May through July, closed entire month of August. During the month of September, open from 10 AM to 2 PM; and during the October through April months, the hours are 10 AM to 4PM.

Gammons Gulch
Gammons Gulch is a ghost town movie set. A living museum that is authentic and Haunting. Location: From I-10 take exit 306 North. June through August Summer- By reservation only. "Step back into time" as founder Jay Gammons welcomes you to fond memories of days gone by. Guided tours are given through this authentic old west town. Down the main street through the many buildings including the jail, Blacksmith shop, Essay office and into the Hotel. After the tour we invite you to return to the saloon where you can purchase an ice cold soda.

Singing Wind Book Shop
The shop is located 2 & 1/4 miles north of Benson on Ocotillo Road. Singing Wind Book Shop is unique both in the ranch style setting and in the available book selection. Books about the Southwest and western America are a major part of the Book Shop's stock, but two rooms of the ranch house contain a large variety of other interesting books. Call (520) 586-2425.

Happy Valley
Use the Mescal exit 297 west of Benson to go north past the Mescal Movie site to reach the picnic area and picturesque scenery in the rugged Rincon Mountains. (No Facilities).

Texas Canyon
Located 14 miles east of Benson on I-10. The rest areas have picnic areas & facilities. The unusual and spectacular rock formations may be viewed from either rest area.

Holy Trinity Monastery
Located 9 miles south of Benson and 2 miles south of St. David on Historical Highway 80. It has a Book Store, Gift Shop, Library, Oriental garden, Museum, Art Gallery, Bird Sanctuary, and Thrift Shop. Call (520) 720-4642.

Triangle T Guest Ranch

Kartchner Caverns State Park
Kartchner Caverns is located at the southern city limit of Benson in the beautiful Whetstone Mountains. The Caverns are touted as one of the most pristine in the US. With camping facilities, hiking trails, bird sanctuary and a visitors center this incredible attraction awaits your visit. Kartchner Caverns State Park opened to visitors November 12, 1999. Vega-Bray Observatory

Muleshoe Ranch Cooperative Management Area
Take I-10 exit 340 northeast of Willcox to Airport Road. The Preserve is set in an area of rugged beauty and lush riparian areas. Lodgings are ideal for individuals, families or groups looking for a scenic retreat and recreational opportunities. The ranch offers a mix of original and renovated historic building dating from the late 1800's. Preserve hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and closed Tues. and Wed from mid-May through mid-February. During the remainder of the year, the preserve is open seven days a week. No overnight lodging during June, July or August, weekends only from Sept through Nov 16.
